Snow Cream

With all the snow we had last week the girls and I had fun making some snow cream! Lillie's wonderful teacher shared this recipe and the girls were excited to try it. It tasted surprisingly similar to vanilla ice cream, maybe a little bit sweeter. You can also make it chocolate but we just stuck with vanilla and then added whipped cream and Hershey's syrup.

There was a little left over so I added in some coffee and hot cocoa and made a little frappuccino. That was quite a bit sweeter than the ones I usually make but still pretty good!

I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

May The Road Rise Up to Meet You Sign Preview and Some Subtle Spring Touches to our Family Room

A couple of weeks ago we had a 70 degree day and it seemed like warmer spring weather was in the not too distant future so we started adding some spring like touches to our family room. Of course that turned out to be rather ironic seeing how the weather changed and this past week we've had snow and absolutely frigid temperature. School was out the entire week - ahhhh!

So, this room has a mix of things - we added in some of our aqua colored pillows and moved the artwork to the mantel and added a few fresh flowers, but we kept the wool throw and the pom pom blanket as well as the knit pillows for now because it's so cold we still want to be able to cozy up in here.

And we finally filled in this spot on the wall that's been bare for a while. We knew we wanted to put one of our signs there and now we have one that goes perfectly in here. And we love that it's an Irish quote as we have lots of Irish blood in us. My dad is 100% Irish.

Our new sign will be available this coming Thursday. You can check the listing out here.

Happy Friday!

I'm still working on tomorrow's post with pictures of our newest sign and some touches of spring to our family room and kitchen (which is ironic seeing how we've had ridiculously frigid temperatures and snow this week, ha!) Here are a few little peeks though.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Some Detail Shots of Jamie and Josh's Master Bathroom and a New Download

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's been a snowy one here which is rather unusual. We've spent the last several days making over our linen closet which we are teaming up with Wayfair for so even though it's pretty much finished I won't be posting about it for a couple more weeks. I've got some photos to edit of our newest sign that I will post about later this week and then I am about to start on another project, but in the meantime today I thought I would share a few photos my sister, Jamie, took of some of the details in her master bathroom.

 Have a fabulous Wednesday!
